This blog is for residents and friends of the Near-East community of Columbus, OH. The Near-East community encompasses several vibrant neighborhoods including Mount Vernon, Nelson Park, Eastgate, Beatty Park, Olde Towne East, Old Oaks, Woodland Park, Driving Park, Franklin Park and Bryden Road. The Near-East has much to offer both residents and visitors including great restaurants, beautiful historic homes, art studios, Franklin Park Conservatory, active civic associations, and diverse communities.

Here you’ll find updates on neighborhood events, good news happening throughout the community, and creative ideas for neighborhood investment and beautification.
